This is a view of Upper Kananaskis Lake, above Canmore, Alberta near the intersection of Routes 40 and 742, high up in Kananaskis Country. Located just a few miles east of Banff National Park along the Trans Canadian Highway, Canmore is the gateway to Kananaskis Country, which includes a series of Provincial Parks. These parks, while much less crowded than Banff NP, have spectacular scenery not to be missed in a trip to the area.

Thank you for paying a visit to my website. While photography has been an interest of mine since I was taught the basics by a couple Navy shipmates over 40 years ago, that interest always seemed to take a back seat to my career in the practice of architecture. Now I am finding more time to travel and to enjoy photography. I have visited all 50 states and have travelled to Canada, Mexico and western Europe. I stayed active in the Naval Reserve, which presented many opportunities for travel. While the navy presented the opportunity to learn about photography and for travel, my career in architecture focused my interest in subject matter toward urban street scenes and architecture.
