Artist's Description

Castle Cliffs is north of Banff Town in Banff National Park, along Route 1A. A common view of the Cliffs is taken from adjacent to the Bow River, but in this case, I back tracked from the river and found this still pond reflecting the scene. As the sun sets, the Cliffs take on a warm glow. The scene became the perfect setting to give thanks for God's beautiful creation.

Thank you for paying a visit to my website. While photography has been an interest of mine since I was taught the basics by a couple Navy shipmates over 40 years ago, that interest always seemed to take a back seat to my career in the practice of architecture. Now I am finding more time to travel and to enjoy photography. I have visited all 50 states and have travelled to Canada, Mexico and western Europe. I stayed active in the Naval Reserve, which presented many opportunities for travel. While the navy presented the opportunity to learn about photography and for travel, my career in architecture focused my interest in subject matter toward urban street scenes and architecture.
