Thanks Robert. I had my shutter open for approximately 25 seconds and during that time car headlights from a nearby road lit up the scene. I was certain that those lights had burned out my shot, but when I processed the photo I found that it had added just the amount of light to help show off some of the foreground. Sometimes, you just get lucky.

Thank you for paying a visit to my website. While photography has been an interest of mine since I was taught the basics by a couple Navy shipmates over 40 years ago, that interest always seemed to take a back seat to my career in the practice of architecture. Now I am finding more time to travel and to enjoy photography. I have visited all 50 states and have travelled to Canada, Mexico and western Europe. I stayed active in the Naval Reserve, which presented many opportunities for travel.
