Take Highway 130 south from US1 at Darmiscotta to reach the rocky coast and the Pemaquid Point lighthouse. Originally built in 1827, it was rebuilt in 1835 due to poor construction of the original. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the most photographed lighthouses on the Maine coast. This photograph was shot with film in the early 1970's.
Thank you for paying a visit to my website. While photography has been an interest of mine since I was taught the basics by a couple Navy shipmates over 40 years ago, that interest always seemed to take a back seat to my career in the practice of architecture.
