Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

Mount Evans rises 14271 feet in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains of North America and can be seen from all over the Colorado plains. The summit can be reached via a paved road during summer. This photo was taken within the ruins of the Crest House, Constructed between 1940 and 1941, it served as a restaurant, gift shop, and tourist attraction until it was partially destroyed by a propane explosion and ensuing fire in 1979.

This photo was taken with a 14mm, f2.8 lens at ISO 3200 with a 25 second exposure. Looking south, this image includes several meteor trails from the Perseid shower, which was most visible at this location in the northerm skies. The red light on the walls was cast by the tail lights of a car in the parking lot.

While photography has been an interest of mine since I was taught the basics by a couple Navy shipmates over 40 years ago, that interest always seemed to take a back seat to my career in the practice of architecture. Now I am finding more time to travel and to enjoy photography. I have visited all 50 states and have travelled to Canada, Mexico and western Europe. I stayed active in the Naval Reserve, which presented many opportunities for travel. While the navy presented the opportunity to learn about photography and for travel, my career in architecture focused my interest in subject matter toward urban street scenes and architecture.
